Acceptable Use Policy

Beautrix · Last updated: 10 September 2026

This is part of the Terms of Service at https://beautrix.app/terms. Short version: use Beautrix to run your own business honestly, and look after the people whose details you put in it.

Do not

With other people's data

  • Upload a client list you did not collect yourself, or that you have no right to use. A bought list, a scraped list, or a list from a salon you used to work at is not yours.
  • Use your clients' details for anything they would not expect. If you want to market to them, that is your responsibility to get right — and for private individuals that generally means their consent or the narrow "soft opt-in", not simply having their address.
  • Put someone in as a safety contact without telling them. They are a real person and we will text them.

With your page

  • Claim qualifications, licences, insurance or accreditations you do not hold.
  • Publish a price that is not the price. Every charge a client cannot avoid — a travel fee, a callout fee, a booking fee — has to be in the total they see before they commit. Revealing it at checkout is unlawful, and since April 2025 the CMA can fine for it directly.
  • Publish reviews that are not real. Writing your own, having friends write them, paying for them, or paying for them without saying so, are all now banned practices and two of them are criminal offences.
  • Offer anything sexual, anything illegal, or any treatment you are not qualified or licensed to perform.
  • Use someone else's photographs, logo, business name or work as your own.

With the software

  • Share your sign-in with another artist so two of you use one subscription. One account is one artist.
  • Scrape it, resell it, rebrand it, or take it apart to build something like it.
  • Attack it, overload it, or try to reach data that is not yours. If you find a security hole, we would much rather you told us — privacy@beautrix.app, and we will not come after you for reporting it in good faith.

Do

  • Keep your insurance and your licences current.
  • Answer your clients. If someone books and you cannot make it, tell them, and refund them properly.
  • Give your clients a cancellation policy that is fair, that you would accept yourself, and that you actually follow.
  • Tell us if you spot something wrong — a bug, a bad actor, an artist doing something on this list.

If you break it

We will normally tell you and give you a chance to put it right. Something serious, or a pattern, and we may suspend or close the account without that step — in particular anything that puts a client at risk, anything illegal, or anything that damages other artists' trust in Beautrix.

You can always export your data, including from a suspended account.

Reporting something

hello@beautrix.app. If it concerns someone's safety, say so at the top and we will look at it first.
